DANISH EARFLAP HAT

(Level: Intermediate) Get hooked on these hats, just like we did. Learn to make an earflap with Fair Isle knitting. They are fun and addictive. Learn provisional cast on, short rows, two color knitting and joining a hem. (3 sessions)

* This is an intermediate class, you must have basic knitting skills: be able to knit, purl, cast on and bind off, increase and decrease, be comfortable working on circular and double pointed needles.

Materials needed: Charlene Schurch's book Hats On, Yarn, 1 skein each of Brown Sheep's NatureSpun and Noro's Kuryeon or Silk Garden, 16 or 24" size 6 circular needles, size 6 double pointed needles, a small ball of scrap yarn, Scissors
